Super Smash Bros.Ultimate is COMING SOON!

Hello everyone, and welcome back to a brand new blog post! In this post, we'll be talking about the brand new Smash Bros coming to the Nintendo Switch, SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE! Let's jump right into it shall we!

I remember a year ago, I made a blog post detailing just how much I adore Nintendo, and this is by far my FAVORITE video game franchise, with Pokemon being a really close second. The reason I love this game so much is due to the sheer fact that it celebrates not just Nintendo's history, but the history of ALL GAMING in general, and I don't believe any other gaming franchise can live up to that title like Smash, or Nintendo can. I bet you can name at least 3 characters from the picture above which shows how Nintendo has played a part in a lot of people's childhoods. But enough of me praising Nintendo 😄😄😄😄😄😄, let's explore what I'm most excited for in this game.

                                   THE HUGE ROSTER

This is the Ultimate version of Smash Bros, and the roster definitely shows this. I personally main Mario, but it's incredibly awesome to have access to an array of different fighters from many different gaming franchises, like Pokemon, Zelda, Fire Emblem, Street Fighter, Pac-Man, Sonic and Final Fantasy just to name a few. I've played my fair share of characters in Smash 4, but I'm super excited to try out newcomers like King K. Rool from Donkey Kong, and Inkling from Splatoon.

                                         GAME PLAY

Super Smash Bros Ultimate also brings awesome new addition to the game play, and fine tuning pre-existing mechanics such as changes to rolls, dash dancing, and bringing back mechanics from older installments like directional air dodging from Super Smash Bros Melee.

A new mechanic is Perfect Shielding. Before, perfect shielding simply meant putting up your shield at the right moment, but now it's all about RELEASING your shield at the perfect moment to pull off awesome combos and start devastating combos!

However, I feel the COOLEST new addition to the game play is the Final Smash Meter. Before, players could break a special item called the Smash Ball, which allowed fighters to pull off awesome and unique finishing moves and that was the only way to pull off these moves, but now players can fill up their Final Smash Meter, and pull off their Final Smash without the Smash Ball, which is really excited because there is a chance these moves can be used on the competitive scene, which was not possible before.

  

                                              MUSIC 

Lastly, with a game so grand in scope, music is a huge priority. This game is PACKED with music from all gaming franchises included in this game. EVERY SINGLE ONE. There is about a dozen tracks for each franchise, so you'll hear loads of familiar music such as the iconic Super Mario Theme, or the Pokemon theme. There's literally TONS of music packed in this game, and I think it is the perfect icing to the cake, and just goes to show how much attention detail was put into making this game.
