Welcome back everyone! In this post, we're going to be taking some time to discuss some awesome tips for getting better grades this year! I'm probably a bit late since everyone has started school already, but hey, better late than never I guess! I'm in the eleventh grade right now, so getting good grades now is crucial and lots of colleges will be on the lookout and seeing whether you qualify for their schools! But even if you're not in high school, getting good grades is STILL super important and I encourage you to read along because this advice will help anyone! So without further ado, let's get into it!

1. STUDY, STUDY, STUDY

I know, I know, this was a pretty obvious one, but you'd be surprised at just how many students dream of getting good grades, yet they aren't willing to study! Usually what I do is find a nice quiet place to study, and turn on some music (type of music is important, more on that later..). When studying, I know we're all tempted to just cram the night before, but I've learned from many studies, and just from personal experience, that this isn't the most optimal way to study. Make sure to study your notes piece by piece and a few days prior to a test; this allows your brain to make better connections, and you'll retain more information because you aren't stressed out for a test the very next day.

2. LISTEN TO SOME INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

This also adds to the first point, but music is a POWERFUL TOOL, since it can help you remember what you study, and it can keep you calm. But before you go blast your favorite song, this tip applies mostly to instrumental music. When we listen to songs with words in them, our brains start to lose focus, since we can't concentrate on both studying and humming along to our favorite tunes, sadly. But luckily we don't have to sit through Bach or Mozart (unless you're into that, we don't discriminate), there are some other options. LOFI music is a great alternative, this music is great at flushing out distractions, and the songs are GREAT. Here are a few links, I hope you like them! πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

3. FIND YOUR MOTIVATION

It can be hard for lots of students to stay motivated, and that is mainly due to the fact that they don't have a driving goal, or a source of motivation. Yes, we all want to get good grades and do well in school, but you need to ask yourself WHY you want good grades and WHY you want to do well in school. Many students can't answer that, and this why lots of students don't try. If you have a goal that you're chasing after, you begin to see how your grades will affect you and your plans of reaching that goal. Just think about why you want good grades and your goals, and you'll feel a lot more determined and driven.

4. ASK QUESTIONS

Intelligent people ask questions. If you want to get better grads and increase your knowledge, asking questions is the best way to go. Maybe you might get a little embarrassed raising your hand and asking your teacher for help, or maybe you feel that it's a stupid question, but take it from me, understanding is more valuable than anything your classmates will say. And also, THERE ARE NEVER STUPID QUESTIONS!!

And those are all the tips I have for you today! I really appreciate you all stopping by to read, and stay tuned for some more posts from me. As always, you guys are the best, and I'll see you all in the next post! ✌️✌️✌️
